VLADIMIR ROJE
Vladimir Roje began his ballet training at the National School of Choreography in Sofia, Bulgaria. He received his BS and MS in Pedagogy and Choreography at the Bulgarian National Conservatory of Music and Arts, Ballet Faculty. In 2020, he also received his PhD in Music and Dance Art at the same school at the Department of Music and Performing Arts.

After his graduation, Dr. Roje has performed as a Principal Dancer with National Companies in Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, as well as the Carolina Ballet (NC), the New Jersey Ballet Company and the Albany Berkshire Ballet.
Throughout his extensive dance career, Dr. Roje has held leading roles in many classical ballets, such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, La Bayadere, La Sylphide, Napoli, Don Quixote, La Fille Mal Gardee, Coppelia, Esmeralda, Sylvia, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, etc.
As a Principal Dancer, Dr. Roje has had the opportunity to work with numerous world acclaimed ballet masters and choreographers such as Yuri Grigorovich (Bolshoi Ballet), Irina Kolpakova (ABT, Marinsky Ballet), Alexander Grant (Royal Ballet), Dina Biorn (Royal Danish Ballet), Eva Evdokimova (English National Ballet), Hans van Manen (Dutch National Ballet), Rudi van Dantzig (Netherlands Dance Theater), Heinz Spoerli (Zurich Ballet), Laszlo Seregi (Hungarian National Ballet), Ricky Wise (New York City Ballet), Paul Sutherland (Joffrey Ballet), and Eleonor D’Antuono (American Ballet Theater).
As a Guest Artist, Dr. Roje has traveled extensively throughout Europe (Moscow and Sank Petersburg, Russia; Berlin, Germany; Paris, France; Milan, Italy; Madrid, Spain; Antwerp, Belgium, etc). He has participated in numerous international galas around the world (including Vienna, Austria; Tokyo and Osaka, Japan; Mumbai, India; Taipei, Taiwan; Singapore).
Dr. Roje is a decorated medalist from the 14th International Ballet Competition in Varna (Bulgaria).
Dr. Roje worked as a ballet teacher at the Ballet School at the Opera House Graz (Austria), the School of the New Jersey Ballet Company, and the Stowe Dance Academy (Vermont). He has frequently been a Guest Teacher at the Logrea Dance Academy (NY), The Valentina Kozlova Conservatory (NY), the School of Albany Berkshire Ballet (NY), The Cantarella School of Dance (Mass.), The Lebanon Ballet School (NH), The Ballet School at the Varna Opera House (Bulgaria) and various other schools in the New York City area and Vermont. He has staged and co-choreographed a variety of full-length ballets including The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Cinderella, La Vivandiere, Les Sylphides.
Dr. Roje is currently an Associate Professor specializing in Classical Ballet at Fei Tian College at Middletown.
